Hedley and Bev Bond visited us in 2023 and 2024, travelling around in their motorhome and visiting UK Folk Clubs on Singers Nights raising funds for the homeless. So far they have raised over £4000 and hope to beat the £6000 mark this year.
This year they plan to visit 20 venues up and down the country and are raising funds for Shelter, another national charity that supports the homeless.
We’re looking forward to welcoming them back to the club this week to sing and play for us and also collect donations for Shelter.
Bev has a letter from Shelter confirming that she is authorised to collect on their behalf.
Watford Folk Club has a proud history of supporting worthwhile charities e.g. Macmillan cancer support and The Catholic Worker Farm and are happy to continue to do so.
