It is a real pleasure to welcome two New Roots Finalists to Watford for what will be a great night!
Kirsty McLachlan is a local singer-songwriter, inspired by her local landscape and community. As a two-time New Roots finalist (2018, 2023) for her songwriting and performances, Kirsty has performed at the Sidmouth, Upton-upon-Severn and Whitby folk festivals. Her song, Road To Home, has been broadcast internationally on the BFBS radio. She has also shared the stage with Katie Doherty and the Navigators, Alistair Anderson, and Skippinish. Her music promises an exciting blend of modern folk music and her own original songs!
Young Anglo-Irish multi-instrumentalist, singer, and New Roots Competition 2023 finalist Conor “Conker” Reynolds is already making his mark on the UK folk scene with his vibrantly earnest blend of original tunes and traditional songs. He’s currently working on his debut album, along with some upcoming ensemble projects
