Dave Artus (guitar/vocal) is originally from Bingley in Yorkshire and now lives in West London. Dave has always admired singer-songwriters such as Al Stewart and Michael Chapman. He writes songs that tell stories of people and places that might otherwise be forgotten and has recorded with many well-known artists such as Ashley Hutchings and Brooks Williams.
Working quietly behind the scenes, Dave contributes substantially to the local folk scene as an organiser of Uxbridge Folk Club, MC, music co-ordinator at Music in the Dell hosting house concerts & singarounds at his home and much more.
Erica Banks (violin) was born and bred in Buckie, Scotland and has been playing violin since the age of seven. Music has remained a constant in her life – from orchestras when she first arrived in London to going electric to play with a local Americana band and playing in duos with singer-songwriters.
Dave and Erica will give us two 20-minute sets playing some of Dave’s songs, some fiddle tunes and a few songs by their favourite song-writers and we’re really looking forward to hearing them play together.
