On October 1st Watford Folk Club presents a superb evening of folk music, that is not to be missed!
Featuring Pete Nutkins, The Moorcrofters, Petrichor, Tom Lavin, The Stout Bros, and Julian Mount who will perform both traditional and contemporary folk songs and the best from our local singer/songwriter scene.
Pete Nutkins – has been involved in Folk Music since the 1960’s. His repertoire draws from both traditional and contemporary folk song including material from Great Britain and North America.
The Moorcrofters – are Nigel Moorcroft (lead vocals), Ellie Hill (virtuoso violin and vocals) and Steve McClennon (great guitar and vocals). They perform songs from both sides of the Atlantic and some of their own.
Petrichor – are Bob Templeman and Annette Burrows. Performing an eclectic mix of material ranging from Traditional Folk to American Standards dating from the 1930’s to the present day, Bob’s intricate guitar style complements Annette’s sublime vocals perfectly.
Tom Lavin –Folk based guitar and harmonica player, plays his own songs and Dylan, Neil Young, Van Morrison covers.
The Stout Bros -Neil and Stewart deliver acoustic music full of stories, protest, and emotion. Multi-instrumentalists, they present their own original songs and make traditional songs contemporary.
Julian Mount – is a songwriter, singer, and musician from St Albans.
His humorous and witty songs about people, places and dreams are accompanied by acoustic guitar and take a look at life always from a quirky perspective. Julian is an accomplished performer and excels at playing live.
For this event, Julian will be playing some of the many songs he has written during Covid Lockdown since March 2020.
